Flying to New Zealand
There are two basically two air-routes to New Zealand. One is Via Los Angeles the other via Asia. Most Americans travel via L.A on a direct flight taking approx. 12 hours. From London and Frankfurt travellers have a choice of either flying via LA or Singapore with an approx. flight time of 22-24 hours.
Singapore is the most popular Asian aiport but it is also possible to travel via other cities such as Kuala Lumpar, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Flights form the pacific rim take approx. 10 hours
From the East coast of Australia flights generally take around 3.5 hours.
Most major international airline networks offer flights to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. These are:

Star alliance with Air New Zealand,
Singapore Airlines
Thai Airways International.
Emirates
Japan Airlines
Korean Air
The majority of overseas visitors to New Zealand will arrive at either Auckland or Christchurch and it is from here that you will be met on arrival with a FlyFish and Field representative and handed your travel documents, vouchers and maps and mobile phone if required.
